Your company
Entities, switching between them, and the details that end up on a document.

Entities
An entity is the legal owner of a building: you personally, a company, a family holding, a co-ownership. Buildings belong to entities, and reports are produced per entity, because that is the boundary an accountant works to.
Most portfolios need one. Add a second when a second legal owner genuinely exists, not to group buildings by city.
Switching company
The switch sits at the top of the account menu on the right, and it announces itself with a toast when you use it. Everything you are looking at follows: the briefing, the rent roll, the approvals queue.
People and access
Add the people who work on the portfolio with you. Actions are recorded against whoever took them, which is what makes the activity log worth reading when there is more than one of you.
Details on a document
The entity's registered name, address, VAT number and contact details are what appear on an invoice, a lease and a formal notice. Getting them right once is worth more than it sounds: a formal notice with the wrong registered name is a formal notice you may have to send again.
Where the money lands: bank accounts. How the product behaves: settings. What to do next: your first building.
