Acceptable use, in short

Part of your agreement, and it exists because the product does things to other people rather than because a website needs rules. It applies to you, to everyone you invite, and to anything done with your credentials. Where it and the terms disagree, the terms win.

People you have a relationship with and a lawful basis to reach: your tenants and applicants, their guarantors, your contractors, your own team. No marketing to somebody who has not consented, nothing to a bought or scraped list, nothing to somebody who has told you to stop. A mailbox you connect must be one you are entitled to read.

The records your portfolio is actually made of, collected lawfully. Special category and criminal offence data only where the feature supports them and you hold the basis the law requires. Not another landlord's portfolio or a file taken from a former employer. Not malware. The storage is for running your property, not for hosting files the product has nothing to do with.

A workflow runs without you watching, so what you point it at is your responsibility. Nothing you would not be allowed to do by hand, and nothing configured to defeat a spend cap, an approval step or a step that waits for you on purpose. Guardrails only tighten.

Generated text is a draft, never a finding. Not the sole basis for letting a property, renewing or setting terms. Never a screen by a protected characteristic, directly or indirectly. Never presented to a tenant, an authority or a court as a professional opinion or a legal conclusion.

An arrears ladder writes to a person about a debt, so use it for a debt that is actually owed and stop it when the debt is disputed or settled. No threats, no harassment, no contact at a time the law does not allow, and no fee or interest the lease and the law do not permit.

Dispatching a contractor sends a person to somebody's home. Access codes are the most sensitive thing in the product and go no further than the person doing the job. The product is not an emergency service and must not be relied on as one.

Do not reach for another customer's data, probe the service, reverse engineer it, scrape it, evade a limit or resell access. If you find a vulnerability, tell us and give us time to fix it first.

Nothing unlawful, nothing that infringes somebody else's rights, nothing that sexualises a child or promotes serious violence, nothing made to defraud, and nothing that harasses a tenant, a contractor or one of us.

We may limit or suspend, immediately where the risk requires it, and we would rather tell you first where it allows. A serious or repeated breach can end the agreement. If you think we have it wrong, write to us and we will look again.
